   Well, suppose the board actually works, and you get a mean spirit… They might tell you to dig right into a buried powerline. LoL.

   Why not? Hasn’t it heard of ‘Freedom of Speech’?? we have fought too hard for our liberties and there’s no ouija board in our known realm that is not under our control. Ask it where the buried treasure is. But try to be specific. Do some research on "off the books" sunken Spanish galleons and ask the board specific instructions. Cut me in on the deal if you find anything, will you?

   First, good luck and be careful. By fiddling with those things you have no idea what you are getting yourself into. Just make sure you close it properly.

   As for why?

   Not sure.
   Maybe a ghost will be overprotective about the treasure and think you are invading its privacy?
   Maybe it will become offended you are asking it about treasures that may have been personal?
   Or that you are asking about something they just don’t know.
   Maybe it shouldn’t be asked because of what it will tell you. Possibly a demon creature will tell you to do something dangerous etc etc.

   Basically, you have no idea what these beings are capable of, none of us really do. I wouldn’t ask if it has been advised against.
   But if you will, try to be specific and try to know a little about what you are asking.

   Probably because no one playing knows where any buried treasure is. Spirits don’t make it work; the players do.
